This battle taking us to Liverpool is definitely a showdown of jokes. So far Oshea vs J Toker is the funniest battle on the docket. Its non-stop giggles from start to finish. One of my favourite parts, aside from the battle itself, is that Oshea carried out the whole battle with a pint in his hand. Nothing says ‘battling is a breeze’ more than being able to do it with a pint. This battle has everything from mama jokes to fat jokes and everything in between.

Straight up! Life 6 is not one of the liveliest battles I’ve seen so far. This battle didn’t hit me with the ‘razzle dazzle’ I usually get from the outlandish opponents in previous battles. It didn’t help that Rayzel choked in the second round. He did to try to comeback in the last round, but was it effective enough? I don’t know….you decide. Otherwise…Big Up Chesterfield! Its Life 5 on the 9 Lives Battles Tour. J toker is rippin’ it up in Plymouth against Unanymous. Unanymous stepped up strong with his lyrics in this battle and really got the crowd hype. As always, J Toker retaliated with intellectual shots in each round. Can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone get referred to a manatee in a battle before.

Here we are now in Brighton to watch the battle between J Toker and Prince Kong. The two MC’s don’t waste any time to get into it. The disses between the two were hard and heavy.   Kong definitely brought his ‘A’ game to the table. The victory was well deserved. Day 3 of the 9 lives Battle brings us to Sheffield, UK. J Toker taking on Flex Digits. The best lyrics dropped the last round with Flex Digits killing it. As always, J Toker is always live and animated, dissing Flex Digits with jabs of prison love.

Its a new day and a new battle. Life 2 of the 9 Lives  Battle pins J Toker against Rhymeotaur in Middlesborough. Aside from the bad lighting, the most amusing aspect has to be that J Toker started his battle with “DON’T CHOKE!” Clearly fallen on deaf ears on Rhymeotaur’s part.  I’ll give respect where respect is due. Rhymeotaur did a good job of addressing his “flop” in his battle and came back on the defensive, but choking will always brings mixed feelings to a battle. Its just never a good look. As always, Toker brought the thunder with his sardonic lyrics, animated gestures and the swag of 9 Lives. But you can see for yourself. Check it out.

Its 2011 and another year, another life!

The first video from the Nine Lives Battle is here and quite entertaining. J Toker took on his first opponent in Newcastle and along with the comical musical stylings of his entourage Disciple & J Walk. Each video is not only rap battle filled, but you will also be entertained by shots of city landscapes and commentary from the audience after the show. In the battle, Deffinition was the first to take on J Toker and at the beginning it seems like its an easy win.

The funny thing about rap battles is that the champion may not always be the victorious and the best rhymes don’t aways come from the victor. So who won the battle???? I’m gonna leave it up to you to decide.
